Privacy policy

We collect as little as possible. This website sets no tracking cookies, and we keep the visitor statistics ourselves, in our own app.

Who is responsible?

Café Krans, Västerlånggatan 26, 111 27 Stockholm, is responsible for the personal data on cafekrans.com. Send any questions to contact@cafekrans.com.

Visitor statistics in our own app

We count visits with our own statistics app. The data is stored on our own server and is not shared with Google, Meta or anyone else.

• We see which pages are visited, which page you came from, how long the page was open, which buttons are clicked and whether you use a phone or a computer.
• The app uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
• Your IP address is not stored. A visit is recognised with an anonymous code that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked to you or between different days.
• The statistics are kept for two years and are then deleted automatically.
• We only use the statistics to understand how the website is used and to make it better.

Web hosting

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Their servers record technical details such as IP address and time in logs for operation and security. Hostinger handles this data on our behalf and keeps it for a limited time.

Fonts and map

• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google then receives your IP address, but no cookies are set.
• The map is loaded from Google Maps only when you click “Show map”. Google may then set cookies. By clicking you agree to this. If you do not click, nothing is loaded from Google Maps.
• Google is an American company. The transfer is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
• Our photos are stored on our own website. Links to Instagram, Tripadvisor and Google Maps directions only take you there when you click them, and their own privacy policies then apply.

Contact form and email

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address and your message, so that we can reply. The form sends the message to our mailbox and nothing is saved on the website. We delete the email when the matter is closed, unless we have to keep it by law.

Reviews and photos

On the website we show a selection of reviews that guests have written about us online, with first name and initial. We also show photos from the café, where guests and staff may be visible. If you want us to remove your review or a photo of you, email us and we will.

Why we may handle the data

We handle statistics, logs, email, reviews and photos based on our legitimate interest in running and presenting the café. Google Maps is loaded with your consent, when you click.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we have about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. Contact us at contact@cafekrans.com. If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
